W CENTRUM FILMU POLSKIEGO w dawnym budynku kina POLONIA w Łodzi przy ul. Piotrkowskiej 67 będzie można doświadczyć etapów powstawania filmu, wejść na prawdziwy plan, uczestniczyć w pracach przy powstawaniu produkcji filmowych.
Obiekt starego kina stanie się nowoczesną wytwórnią filmów, dostosowaną dla potrzeb edukacyjnych, poznawczych i turystycznych dla wszystkich pasjonatów kina.
„Filmowcy” będą mogli tworzyć tutaj własne filmy, a następnie je oglądać i recenzować.
Sala kinowa dla potrzeb przeglądów powstających filmów, a także premier, dopełnia program tej szczególnie pomyślanej placówki, będącej kolejnym ważnym punktem na mapie Łodzi Filmowej, w wyjątkowym budynku – dawnym teatrze i kinie i w wyjątkowej lokalizacji.
Projekt przewiduje częściową rozbiórkę budynku istniejącego, obecnie funkjonującego jako restauracja „The Mexican”, rozbiórkę ścian i innych elementów budowlanych w obrębie budynku dawnego Kina Polonia, przebudowę, nadbudowę i rozbudowę kina, w tym budowę nowego budynku na miejscu budynku restauracji „The Mexican”

At the POLISH FILM CENTRE in the former building of the POLONIA cinema in Łódź at 67 Piotrkowska Street, it will be possible to experience the stages of film production, enter the real set and participate in the work of film production.
The building of the old cinema will become a modern film production facility, adapted for educational, cognitive and tourist purposes for all cinema enthusiasts.
"Filmmakers" will be able to create their own films here and then watch and review them.
A cinema hall for reviews of emerging films, as well as premieres, completes the programme of this particularly conceived facility, which is another important point on the map of Film Łódź, in a unique building - a former theatre and cinema - and in a unique location.
The project envisages the partial demolition of the existing building, currently functioning as "The Mexican" restaurant, the demolition of walls and other building elements within the former Polonia Cinema building, the reconstruction, superstructure and extension of the cinema, including the construction of a new building on the site of the former "The Mexican" restaurant building
