AGG is a long-standing partner of SEW-Eurodrive Polska sp. z o.o. for project planning and implementation. SEW is a world leader in drive and automation technology.
In 2000, AGG drew up a functional and utility programme and an architectural and urban planning concept, followed by a multi-discipline design of the first new headquarters of SEW Eurodrive Polska Sp. z o.o. at Techniczna Street in Łódź.
The form of the building was considered ‘timeless’ by the German investor and is therefore continued in subsequent extensions. The documentation developed by the AGG office met the objectives:
the body of the building is symbolic - it is the ‘architecture of movement’ and also the ‘movement of architecture’.
In 2013, AGG was a participant in the expansion of the factory.
In 2023, AGG produced a functional-utility programme together with an architectural and urban planning concept for another extension of the SEW - EURODRIVE plant on Technical Street in Łódź. A new conference, office and training building with a showroom for the presentation of the company's development history and an assembly hall were designed.
In 2023, AGG developed a functional and utility programme together with an architectural and urban planning concept for a further expansion of the SEW - EURODRIVE plant on Technical Street in Łódź. A new conference, office and training building with a showroom for the presentation of the company's development history and an assembly hall were designed. The existing part and the new building were joined by a connecting passage in the form of a glass bridge - a tract suspended above the ground. In this way, an enormous amount of light was let into both buildings. The transparent glass walkway at height, ideally integrated into both buildings, has a predominantly communicative function, while at the same time completing the aesthetic effect of the architectural composition.
Following approval of the design and technological assumptions by the holding company's head office in Germany, a comprehensive and multi-discipline building design, tender design, execution design and interior design for the plant extension was carried out.
All stages of the project were carried out in close cooperation with SEW Eurodrive in Germany.
